Ice Spice and Central Cee got the streets talking, and it's not just about their latest collaboration.
On Thursday night, July 11, the Bronx rapper and the U.K. native delivered their brand-new song "Did It First." On the track produced by RIOTUSA, Lily Kaplan and Nico Baran, Spice and Cench open up about their risky moves with other people while they're involved in relationships.
"If he cheatin', I'm doin' him worse/No Uno, I hit the reverse," she raps in the chorus. "I ain't trippin', the grip in my purse/I don't care, 'cause he did it first."
"I'm selective with who I get with/Gyal on my phone tryna see who I slept with," Central Cee spits. "She investigating, detective/Lucky for me, I deleted the message/All along, it was me and a bad b***h/But I told her it was me and my bredrin."
The music video, which Ice Spice directed with Edgar Esteves and Nikita Vilchinski, shows both artists getting comfy on a bed during a house party. The steamy scenes in the video have fanned the flames of rumors about an alleged relationship fans have been dreaming about for the past few months. Central Cee first signaled his affinity for Ice Spice in a 2023 interview with Complex in which he said she was the only artist he wanted to collaborate with. Rumors continued to swirl last week when the two were spotted shopping together in London.
Both artists have been involved in separate relationships with other people. Ice Spice told the Los Angeles Times last year that she was dating someone but declined to reveal his identity. Some fans believe the mystery man was her go-to producer RIOTUSA. Meanwhile, Central Cee currently in a public relationship with influencer Brit Madeline Argy. The couple has been together since 2022 despite rumors that they split up last year.
"Did It First" is set to appear on Ice Spice's upcoming debut album Y2K! that drops on July 26. Watch the entire video below.
