Sheff G will be sentenced to five years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to attempted murder and conspiracy charges.

The popular drill artist, born Michael Williams, and frequent collaborator Tegan "Sleepy Hallow" Chambers were among the 32 alleged members of 8 Trey Crips and the 9 Ways gangs who were arrested in 2023 after they were indicted on 140 counts of charges including murder, attempted murder, weapons possession, grand theft auto and more. Sheff G entered his plea on Wednesday, March 26, before Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Danny Chun. He will sentenced to five years in prison and five years of supervised release.

“Notoriety could not shield this defendant from justice," Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said in a statement. "He used his fame to fund and direct violence, terrorizing our streets, and though we sought a much longer sentence, he will now be held to account. Brooklyn will not tolerate gangs that endanger our communities, and we remain committed to dismantling these criminal networks and holding those responsible fully accountable.”

Williams and his co-defendants were accused of engaging in a war against the Folk Nation Gangster Disciples and ICG Babiiez beginning in March 2019. Their feud allegedly sparked 12 shootings, one of which resulted in the death of Theodore Senior, AKA Sniper Blixky. Senior was gunned down in October 2020. Not only was he an alleged member of the Folk Nation Gangster Disciples, but he was also a close friend of Sheff G's foe 22Gz. In addition, prosecutors also alleged Williams used his fame to coerce others into carrying out acts of violence in exchange for money and jewelry.

Williams spent 14 months in jail before he posted a $1.5 million bail last April. One month later, Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow endorsed President Donald Trump during his reelection campaign and joined him onstage at Trump's campaign rally at Crotona Park in the South Bronx.

As part of his plea agreement, the 26-year-old artist pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted murder and second- and fourth-degree conspiracy in exchange for the five-year sentence and five-year supervised release. Prosecutors originally asked for a 20-year sentence, however, the judge approved the plea deal and dropped the remaining charges. Sheff G is scheduled to be formally sentenced on August 13. He's one of 17 defendants who have pleaded guilty so far. The other 14 cases, including Chambers, are still pending.
