The Weeknd shared a bone-chilling look at his upcoming film Hurry Up Tomorrow before it arrives in theaters next month.

In the new trailer Tesfaye released on Tuesday, April 1, his co-star Jenna Ortega dumps gasoline all around a house before she lights it on fire and heads out to the Grammy award-winning artist's show. After they meet, you can see how the relationship between Abel Tesfaye and Ortega's character "Anima" develops into a cringeworthy bond that eventually impacts his career and his mental state. Directed by Trey Edward Shults, the film also stars Barry Keoghan and features a cameo from Metro Boomin.

Tesfaye debuted the second trailer during his appearance at CinemaCon on Tuesday. He played the clip during a presentation for Lionsgate inside the Colosseum Theater at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace. Afterward, The Weeknd appeared onstage and performed two songs. He belted out "Cry For Me," which will featured in the film along with other songs from his recent album. He also performed fan favorite "Blinding Lights." During his performance, he noticed Star Wars icon Mark Hamill in the audience and shouted him out.

“I can’t believe I’m looking at Mark Hamill right now," he said in the middle of his performance. "That’s crazy. The Force is with you.”

Hurry Up Tomorrow is slated to arrive in theaters on May 16. Check out the trailer and more scenes from his appearance at CinemaCon below.
